October Update

The Trail will be officially open October 18, so please stop by any of the five businesses to pick up your passport, then get stamps from all of us to be entered in a drawing.  I hope we have nice weather for “hiking” the trail.

Thanks to Peggy who has been masterfully tending the barrels out front of the tasting room, and imagine my surprise when I arrived to find a bale of hay and some pumpkins!  I added some fall color inside too, and it feels festive.  And removal of that horrible brown eyesore building next door really opens things up.

We are pouring the 2016 Meritage, newly released 2017 Malbec and Cabernet Franc, as well as Sisters Rule Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Merlot.  Six wines, and a few we have not yet released.

After much struggling with the whole concept of tasting fees, I have finally decided to have a $5/person tasting fee for six wines, which is waived with a $20 purchase.  Compared to other tasting rooms it is still modest, but mostly covers my costs and as a new business I truly hope that people will understand.

I have plans to get a smart screen to hang on the wall, and show a stream of photos.  If you have some great pictures from our winery, tasting room, or wine making process, please feel free to send them to me.

One more thing, we FINALLY have shirts and hats with the Moose Canyon and Sisters Rule logos.  Samples are on their way so you can see them in the tasting room, but you can go to our store and order the size and color that you want.

All the grapes are in, about 2800# are fermenting right now, MMM smells good in the winery!
